Monthly Update #1 - Oct 2020
Why are you receiving this? This is an update from Daksh because he thinks you are a pretty special person that he would like to keep up to date about his life.
TL;DR
I have an approved H4 EAD and am now immersed in a Job Search
Launched S02 of Dollar Gujarati
Glad to have some really helpful alumni
What’s happening professionally?
I got my EAD (Employment Authorization Document) last Wednesday (finally !) - This means I am job hunting for the foreseeable future.
I’m also studying hard on improving my SQL skills and practicing interview questions.
I’m also reaching out to alumni from both my undergrad (DJSCE) and graduate schools (IIFT).
Almost done with my deliverables for my consulting project with EYP.
What am I doing on the side?
Atit, Jaynee and I have just launched season 2 of Dollar Gujarati. We’ve taken our listeners feedback, and made the episodes shorter, more actionable and in video format. We’ve recorded with a ton of Gujarati Y-Combinator founders this season! Do give it a listen and let us know what you liked, disliked and who you want to hear next - maybe we can get them to answer your question.
Things I've written or read in the month
Just started Tony Robbins’ book on mastering the money game.
Personal life updates
J and I have been sneaking in a hike every weekend in October during the last few weeks before Winter kicks in.
Asks
Do you know someone who’s hiring? Can you put in a referral at your company? I’m looking to get interviews before people go into their Thanksgiving breaks.
Thanks
